November: Diet and Superfood

Our November superfood is winter squash. It’s a member of the gourd family and comes in many varieties including acorn, spaghetti, butternut, banana and pumpkin.

Winter squash vary in shape and size, but they’re all generally round. While their outer skin is thick and hard, their flesh is firm. They also have large seeds in the centre.
