1 What is a Health Spending Account and how does it work?
 

A Health Spending Account (HSA) is like a special bank account between you and your employer that you can use to pay for eligible health-related expenses. Your HSA is a flexible complement to your regular ASEBP benefits because you control what health expenses you use it for.

2 How do I find out how much money is in my HSA?
 

Simply log in to My ASEBP. Once logged in, in the "My Membership Activity" menu, you can choose "View My HSA Activity." That page will outline your current HSA balance, tell you when you can expect your next payment, and allow you to confirm your current banking information on file with ASEBP.

3 What expenses are eligible for submission to my HSA?
 

If a medical expense qualifies as an eligible claim through a group health, dental or vision care plan, then it is eligible under your HSA. The majority of medical expenses that qualify for an HSA fall under this category. Other medical expenses may qualify for your HSA plan. 4 I've submitted an expense to my HSA. When will I get paid?
 

Eligible HSA expenses will be reimbursed to you to a maximum of your available credits within 30 days of the end of each payment cycle.

There are two simple ways to determine when you will receive your payment:

  1. Log in to My ASEBP. In the "My Membership Activity" menu, choose "View My HSA Activity." That page will outline you next scheduled payment date.
  2. Alternately, you could read about the Reimbursement Dates schedules in the Health Spending Account Guide. For this method, you will need to know whether your HSA pays out quarterly or semi-annually. Your employer will be able to provide you with this information.
5 I've submitted an expense to my Health Spending Account incorrectly. What can I do to correct the error?

6 How do I register to submit my Health Spending Account expenses online?
 

All you need to do is register for a My ASEBP account. Registering is simple: Click here to start the registration process.

Once you are registered, you will be able to submit HSA expenses online, check how much money is available in your HSA, confirm  your next scheduled payment date, and verify your current banking information.
