ASEBP Benefit Plan SummaryDental Care | Benefit Details (Online Document) | Dental Care Benefit Details 2010 | | Submitting Claims | | Dental Care Claim Instructions | | Coverage Summary | | The Dental Care plan provides both single and family dental coverage. ASEBP coverage encourages members to access preventative treatment to maintain healthy teeth and provides allowance for both major restorative and orthodontic treatment.
Dental procedures are divided into three general categories:
- basic preventative/restorative treatment
- major restorative treatment
- orthodontic treatment
Claims are processed according to procedures set out by the Canadian Dental Association. This section addresses the most common procedures in each category along with the most common limitations. If you are unsure if a procedure is covered, please contact ASEBP for clarification.
Note: When we say a procedure is covered at 100%, that means 100% of the ASEBP coverage allowed for that procedure as outlined in the ASEBP Dental Benefit List, not necessarily 100% of the dentist’s bill.
Depending on which plan you are enrolled in, persons covered under Dental Care can include:
- yourself
- your spouse and other dependents - for the purposes of this plan your spouse is considered a dependent
