Common Questions - Vision Care

1 How can I tell when I am eligible to make a claim under vision care?
 

All Vision Care plans have maximums which provide a designated amount of money every two years per covered person from date of service.

For specific information about the maximum amounts that can be claimed under your plan, please check the Plan Descriptions section of the Vision Care Benefit Guide

Note: you can now view a summary of the claims that have been submitted against your plan to help you keep track of the service dates of when claims for processed for each member in your family.  To access this feature, click on View My Claims History in My ASEBP.

2 Is laser eye surgery covered?
  Yes, corrective eye surgery is covered by your Vision Care benefit. For more information about plan maximums and other eligible services, please see the Vision Care Benefit Guide.
3 Am I covered for eye examinations?
  Yes, eye examinations are covered by your Vision Care benefit. For more information about what else is covered, see the Vision Care Benefit Guide.
4 Are prescription sunglasses covered under my vision plan?
  Yes, prescription sunglasses are covered under your Vision Care benefit. A list of other eligible services covered by your Vision Care benefit is in the Vision Care Benefit Guide.
